Rensselaer - Beth J. Lyons, 88, of Rensselaer, IN formerly of Brook IN, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 3:50 pm in the Rensselaer Care Center, Rensselaer, IN. She was born June 15, 1930 in Goodland, IN to the late William E. and Ruth Casterline Dalton, she was a graduate of the Goodland High School, Goodland, IN, class of `1948 and attended 2 years at Ft. Wayne Business College. She was a member of the Brook United Methodist Church, Brook, IN, 50 year member of the Eastern Star. and

served as a past Worthy Matron. On July 8, 1950 in Goodland, IN she

married Richard D. Lyons and he preceded her in death March 17, 2006 in Brook, IN

She is survived by on son, Michael J. Lyons, (wife Diane), Rensselaer, IN and one daughter, Vivki Donahue, (husband, Matthew), Rensselaer, IN and one son-in-law, David Schrum, Rensselaer, IN. Grandmother of 9 and Great Grandmother of 13 and one sister Nyla Burdette, St. John, IN.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Debra A. Schrum and

2 brothers, Dean and James Dalton.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 10:00 - 12:00 noon (CDT) at the Gerts Funeral Home, Brook, IN, funeral services at 12 noon (CDT), with Rev.

Evan Guse, officiating. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Brook, IN, memorials may be given to the Brook United Methodist Church

in her name.
