Cole David Ungaro

Lafayette - Cole David Ungaro,17, passed away Saturday, November 17 in Lafayette as a result of a single car accident. He was born April 10, 2001 to David and Tammy (Van Kley) Ungaro. He was a senior at Faith Christian School.

Cole loved soccer, Jesus, his family and friends. He was passionate about playing, coaching, watching and reffing his favorite game.

Cole is survived by his parents, David and Tammy (Van Kley) Ungaro of Lafayette; sister Carah and brother Caleb. Also surviving are maternal grandparents Marvin and Bonnie Van Kley of Kokomo; paternal grandfather Alfred Ungaro of Spokane, WA; Uncles Jeremy (Stacey) Van Kley and Peter (Brenda) Ungaro; Aunt Michele (Russell) Liebzeit; cousins Cayden, Abigail and Seay Van Kley; Taryn, Ryan and Kellen Ungaro; Sarah Liebzeit.

He is preceded by maternal grandmother Linda Ungaro.

Visitation is 4 PM (EST) until 8 PM Tuesday, November 27 at Lafayette First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral service is Wednesday, November 28 at 11 AM (EST) with visitation one-hour prior at Lafayette First Church of the Nazarene.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Coles name to Faith Christian School to be used towards the Class of 2019 Senior Trip. You may sign the guest book and leave memories at www.soller-baker.com

I am so sorry to hear about this special young man's passing. It is so tragic. I see he not only loved soccer but coached a younger team as well. Any young person who gives of their talent and time in this way is such a blessing. I never met him, but his grandmother Bonita is my cousin. My heart goes out to her and the family.

All of us at St. James that knew Cole are saddened at his passing and remember him as a part of our family. We cannot remove the sadness that you feel, but can pray that your family finds comfort in Cole's saving faith in Christ Jesus.
