Donna Ragsdale Obituary
Donna L. Ragsdale R.N., 68, of West Lafayette, IN, died at 7:42 pm June 25, 2016 at her residence.
She was born February 21, 1948, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Donald L. and Betty L. (Van Arsdall) Martin.
Donna graduated from West Lafayette High School, class of 1966, and in 1969 from the St. Vincent School of Nursing with her R.N. degree. On February 8, 1969, she married Jack D. Ragsdale and he survives. Donna worked as a geriatric nurse, teacher, and administrator for over 30 years throughout the State of Indiana. She was a most loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. The time Donna spent with her grandchildren was the most precious time of her life.
Surviving are her husband, Jack D. Ragsdale of West Lafayette, IN, son, Ky M. Ragsdale (wife Donna C.) of Fishers, IN, daughter, Katrina (Kate) M. Murray (husband David L.) of West Lafayette, IN,
grandchildren, Adam E. Arnold, Grace K. Donnoe, Allee M. Donnoe all of West Lafayette, IN and Cole M. Ragsdale of Fishers, IN. Also surviving is Donna's best friend and faithful protector, her Westie, Higgins.
According to her wishes, a celebration of Donna's life will take place on July 8, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at Rush Pavillion, 1915 Scott Sreet, Lafayette, IN.
Donna's request was that all who attend please WEAR CASUAL SUMMER ATTIRE; food will be served. In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions be made to: The Preston Cares Network, Westie Rescue covering Indiana & Kentucky, 351 Camden Circle, Owensboro, KY 42301. Dear Jack and family,
I was so sorry to hear about the death of Donna. Since working with you on the Vietnam Wall, I have thought of you both often. Just recently someone asked me if I had seen you or heard from you. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know Donna brought so much love and comfort to many and especially veterans. Bless you all and be comforted by the wonderful memories you made together.

I am so glad I got to see Donna Lee last month. All the cousins getting together was really nice. I regret we didn't all do that sooner. Looking back, we really did grow up in a special time, with lots of family and friends. I have lots of great memories of Donna Lee, and will miss her. Jill

I loved the Ragsdale family. I babysat for Ky and Katie when they were little and I was in high school and they lived on 29th street. They were super cute kids and I always wanted some like that of my own. Donna was a really neat gal with a great sense of humor. I am so sorry for your loss.
