Edna Messman Obituary
Boswell - Edna Messman, 89, of Boswell, died, Wednesday, January 16, 2019. She was born August 27, 1929, in Somerset, KY, to the late Lafayette & Thursa Vaughn. She married, Raymond Hislope, September 18, 1947, in Otterbein; he died, August 22, 1953. She then married, Joe Messman, January 12, 1963, in Earl Park; he died, March 3, 1979. Edna was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Oxford & the Earl Park American Legion Post #455. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, bird watching, needle work, cooking, baking, canning, jigsaw puzzles & most of all her Family.
Edna is survived by 2 Daughters, Betty (James) Dwenger & Sharon Dutton, 2 Sons, Rick (Gloria) Messman & Joe (Bobbette) Messman, 4 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren & 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 5 Sisters & 4 Brothers.
Visitation will be, Saturday, January 19, 2019, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 504 S. Michigan St., Oxford, from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM, with Father Robert Klemme officiating. Burial, immediately following, at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Earl Park. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Otterbein, is assisting Edna's Family.
