Emma M. Greer

Williamsport - Emma Mae (Young) Greer, formerly of Williamsport, passed away at the Woodland Manor Nursing Center in Attica, on Monday, March 10, 2014, at 10:50 a.m. Emma was born in Stone Bluff, Indiana, on May 23, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Wright and Lena Mae (Hanley) Young. Emma was raised in Stone Bluff and attended Veedersburg High School. She has resided most of her life in Williamsport.

Emma worked for Radio Materials Corp. in Attica for 34 years. She retired in 1986. She attended the Attica Assembly of God Church and enjoyed reading and crocheting. On August 11, 1950, Emma married Peter H. Greer in Attica, IN. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1985. Emma leaves behind her two sons, Dallas Haston Greer, Lafayette and Danny Lee Greer, Williamsport; a sister, Ruth Eacret, Stone Bluff; two grandchildren, Anthony David Greer and Amy Jo Greer; extended family, Rhonda and Jon Inman and children, James and Christine Inman, Williamsport; George and Delores Greer, Brownsburg, IN and Cyndi Miller, Danville, IN. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Sue Greer in 1973; four sisters, Minnie Ellen Clardy, Elizabeth "Betty" Karlson, Nina Payne and Anna Farley; two brothers, Albert and Willard Young.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Thursday, March 13th, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Assembly of God Church, 812 E. Main St., Attica, on Friday, March 14th, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harvey Lange and Pastor Ben Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Osborn Prairie Cemetery, near Stone Bluff.
