Fritz was my married to Pat, my grandfather's sister. Our childhood trips to Lafayette were always filled with joy, with trips to the candy store and the amazing land that Fritz and Pat lived on. Driving around in that old jeep was always a highlight. He will always be remembered as my all time favorite Uncle and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Fritz.

Fritz was a great neighbor as I was growing up. I would ride my trail bike all around his paths through the bottoms behind there house. Didn't mind when we went fishing. Great man. Big loss.

Patty, it's been many years since last we saw each other, but know that you are in my heart, thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I was an email friend of Fritz, but had not received any emails from him recently. I grew up with Fritz and his family and played BB with "Pete" when we both attended Purdue. Sorry to learn of his loss. We had many good email exchanges. His sisters may remember me and my brother Paul (deceased) from a long time ago. My husband and I moved into Fritz's neighborhood about six years ago and over the years enjoyed his friendship and dry humor. Our neighborhood has suffered a great loss – he will be missed.

I'm sad we lost touch. Fritz was my father's uncle- Tom Cox. I met him for the first and last time at our family reunion. I can't remember my exact age, but I must've been in my early teenage years. I remember his huge back yard. I also remember him teaching my brother and I how to drive a stick in an old WWII jeep... It saddens me that he missed his 50th anniversary. But he lived a very long and fulfilling life from what I knew. Love you Uncle Fitz!

Fritz did so much for St. James Lutheran Church & School, and, in doing so, improved the lives of many like me. I learned much from Fritz's model of commitment and quiet philanthropy. Sympathies from Roman and me.
