Don't think I've ever been as shocked as I was the moment you stood up in class and belted out words to the song Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye. It was priceless and it proved you were paying close attention. When your friends announced it was your ringtone I burst out laughing. Every time I hear the song you immediately come to mind. So sorry we lost you. You left memories.

You showed me the greatest love a child has ever known
I knew you'd always be there, til the day i was grown
You shared all my pains, my joys, and my heart
I thought we would never have to be apart
But God had a different plan for me you see
"You can only stay a little while" He said to me
"So teach him the meaning of the purest love...
teach him reach for what he wants and to have faith in what's above.
show him how to laugh and to cry and make sure he knows
that the greatest strength is in letting go
give him the endurance he'll need in this life
teach him to lean on me when he finds strife
guide him to the path where he will find all he needs
to live a life beyond the coming pain that will drop him to his knees"
I looked at God and nodded my head
"I can do all that" I said
"I'll do my best to let him know how glad
That i was and always will be that he is my Dad"
So cry your tears and mourn for what we lost
And forget the pain and the terrible cost
Remember the happiness and all that was good
I'll be waiting for you in heaven Daddy. I'd kiss you from here if i could

I only knew Josh for a short time, a long time ago, but I have fond memories of him. I was the recess guard when their class was in fifth grade at Wea. I was also a classroom aide for a boy who had a lot of behavioral and emotional issues. The kid I worked with loved recess, and really loved basketball, but he couldn't hold it together well enough most of the time. If he tried to play he'd usually end up slugging somebody, and it wasn't long before people stopped playing with him---except Josh. The kid would walk up to the hoop and the other kids would scatter---except Josh. I saw Josh stand there several times and really try to help the kid. Josh talked to him when other kids wouldn't. They were afraid---understandably---but Josh wasn't. It was an amazing thing to watch. It showed great character and great kindness. I always figured if I ever ran into grown up Josh I'd encourage him to get into a field working with kids with those kind of issues because he had a gift for it. I'm profoundly sorry I never got the chance. I'm so sorry for you loss.

Words cannot express how sad I was to hear to young Josh. But maybe someday we will know those questions in our minds "Why". I didn't see him much after granny died but I know Frankie you worked your butt off to provide for those kids to make them a home. May God be with you through this troubling time and somewhere you can find solitude. Linda Bowman

To My Beloved Nephew,
You are such a fine loving young man. It's hard to swallow that you were taken from us so soon. We have never felt such a void in our lives. Heaven definitely gained a Angel when God decided to call you home. Please watch over the Family as we go through this very difficult time. We love you so very, very much and you will ALWAYS be in our heart and on our minds forever!!! Love You Joshua Dwayne (Bub) Tunis!!! RIP!!!
