Judith A. Doremire
Judith A. Doremire, 66, daughter of the late Virgil Leroy and Martha Annetta Thompson, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Lafayette Arnett Hospital. She is survived by her husband Harold, daughters Emily and Catherine, a son Michael, a sister, Francis Stroud of Greenwood, and brothers, Richard Thompson of Rochester, Minnesota and Bernard Thompson of Greenville, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by sisters Nancy Case and Rella Thompson, and brothers Howard, Robert, and Calvin Thompson.
Judy enjoyed growing flowers, reading, jigsaw puzzles, birthdays, and the Christmas Season most of all. Staying connected with friends and family, she sent many greeting cards. She was known for her flamingo, mustache, pumpkin chucking, and cabbage parties.
She was employed by the Tippecanoe School Corporation for 27 years and worked at Klondike Grade School, managing the lunch room accounts before her retirement. After retirement, she continued to volunteer at Klondike helping in the office wherever needed.
Private services will be held at the West Lafayette Soller-Baker Funeral Home. Friends and family are welcome to attend a brief interment ceremony in remembrance at the Chalmers Cemetery on Sat. October 29, 2011 at 11 o'clock between Brookston and Chalmers at the junction of highway 43 and county road E 700 S in White County. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society
