Michael A. Magruder

Michael Alan Magruder, age 63, of Delphi, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017.

Born on September 24, 1953, in Steubenville, OH, he was the son of the late Maurice Magruder and Sophia (Rector) Magruder.  He honorably served in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman from 1976-1980 and was stationed in Germany.

He married Annette L. Moudy in July 7, 1999 in Lafayette and she preceded him in death on December 3, 2006.

He was a 1972 graduate of North Allegheny High School in Pittsburg, PA.  After serving our country he went on to work at Alcoa for 31 years.  In 2004 he started with Miami Correctional Facility at Grissom Air Force Base as a Correctional Officer where he was currently working.

Mike was member of American Legion and VFW.  He loved traveling, riding his Harley and his Polaris Slingshot.  He also loved eating and conversation.

Surviving are his brother:  David Lynn Magruder (wife: Emily Kay) of Cumming, GA, 2 step-children:  Rod Moudy (wife: Jill) and Rhonda Oliver (husb: Kevin) both of Camden, four step-grandchildren, an Aunt Marjorie Borgmann (husb: Roy) of Indianapolis, a niece: Amy Dawn Magruder of Portland, OR, his beloved dog Rocky, and a great friend: Shelly Gray of Lafayette.

Memorial visitation will be 5-6 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 followed by the Memorial service at 6 p.m. at Hippensteel Funeral Home.  Celebrant Theresa Fischer will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Almost Home Humane Society.  Share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com
