Michael Torres Obituary
Delphi - Michael Torres, 16 of Delphi, died Sat-Feb 2, 2019 at 1:42am at Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis, after a 2 year battle with Leukemia. He was born Feb 18, 2002 in Kokomo, to Longino & Norma Alicia Gonzalez Torres. Michael was a Junior at Delphi Community High School. He enjoyed school and his many friends, and wanted to get well enough again to go back. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing video games, and loved to listen to music. He enjoyed building things, like Lego's, and models. He enjoyed playing rec soccer with his older brothers. He loved football, especially the New England Patriots, New York Giants, and the Indianapolis Colts. He dearly loved his family and many friends. Surviving: parents-Longino & Norma Torres of Delphi; sister-Veronica Torres sp. Juan Seqovia of Delphi; brothers-Jose Torres of Logansport, Robert Torres of Delphi; maternal grandma-Rosalia Juarez of Mexico; 2 nephews, and a niece. Preceded in death by an inf. brother Jose Antonio; paternal grandparents; maternal grandpa. Services: Visitation will be held at the Delphi United Methodist Church, 1796 N US 421, Delphi, IN 46923, on Wednesday from 4pm-8pm, with a rosary at 7:45pm at the church. His funeral mass will be Thursday 1pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delphi, Father Clayton Thompson officiating. Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Delphi. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Hospital for Children, envelopes available at the church. Dear Family,
I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed having Michael in my art classes at the elementary school. He and his friends were such a special part of my teaching career. I will never forget that smile of his! It was the best part of his personality and often my day at school. I know the community is feeling your pain as you say good-bye to your young son and wanted you to know that I am thinking of you with love, prayers and concern. May you find comfort and peace as you think of all the great memories that will always be in your heart.

Michael, I know we were brought together for a reason just over 2 years ago. I will never forget the joy in knowing you were back in school allowing us to connect more.
