Having just chatted with Nola at the Fish Fry and a Purdue Basketball game, it is very hard to believe she is gone. Nola was a wonderful advocate for Indiana 4-H, and serving with her on the Indiana 4-H Foundation board was an honor. My heart goes out to all who knew Nola - she made us all better people.

I have known Nola since grade school and 4-H days. We have stayed in touch off and on thru the years and I have always enjoyed Nola's sense of humor, her kindness and thoughtfulness of others. She was quite a lady with many interests and a large circle of friends from many walks of life. I will miss her dearly. Although I never officially met you, Ned, I extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family.

When i first started teaching in 1961 at Walnut Grove, Nola was a 5th grader. I didn't know her then but I was extremely fortunate to know her in Lafayette. She was a very caring person. Never hear her complain, always with a smile. Best corn shucker I ever shucked beside. I will miss her. RIP Nola.

Nola and each of her family members were and are held close in our hearts - my dad and mom, Dwight and Wanda Anderson, and sister, Nancy. The memories cover decades of time. Every time I pass the yellow farm house on Cyntheanne Road, I always think of Nola, Herb, and Alice.....so missed by so many.

Nola leaves behind a loving husband, family and countless friends. Our journey began during her college days when she became a member of our family. We skied Colorado, traveled the world together (Alaska, England, Scotland, Greece, Cyprus) laughing and making memories. A special sister friend lives in your heart forever. May the sweet memories and laughter be Nola's legacy to all of us.

True friends are the ones that never leave your heart, even when you are separated by distance or death. Nola was an extraordinary women and true friend. She entered my life as a a college roommate, and became a traveling companion and "sister". I will always treasure memories of Nola.
