Greenkorn family. I was a graduate student at Purdue when Bob first came to start his incredible career. Bob had a tremendous impact on me. He set high standards but had this knowledge of the industrial world that really set him apart. Bob - of course then he was Prof Greenlorn- was a person I wanted to emulate. As Head he really set PU ChE on a direction to compete with the very best departments. And then all the other things he did that made Purdue University better. As I have come back to Purdue over the years, I always looked forward to spending time with Bob. Fascinating person and friend. He will be missed. My condolences go to all of you

To the Greenkorn Family:
Dr. Greenkorn was one of my favorite professors while I was at Purdue pursing my BS Chem. E and PhD. One of my favorite classroom memories was when he came to class with sport coat and tie and proceeded to teach the class while removing his coat and tie, then rolling up his sleeves by midway through the lecture. Then he proceeded to reverse the entire process so that when class ended, he was back to coat the tie ensemble. Another favorite memory was seeing him and Rosemary at homecoming with the Chao's for a reunion get together. I will miss Bob and his great sense of humor and I appreciate the insights he gave us as students and friends.
Jim ('74 and '79)and Suzie Simnick ('78 Nursing)
I, Suzie Simnick, admired Professor Greenkorn for his quite soft spoken demeanor. He was not one to let on about his titles or position. I so admire that quality in such an accomplished person. He and Rosemary always welcomed me as an equal.

Enjoyed his brilliant classes and his Transfer Operation class notes. I am happy to be member of Purdue President's Council and Ch.E. Engr. Ambassador. Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine,
et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Te decet hymnus, Deus, in Sion,
et tibi reddetur votum in Jerusalem.
Exaudi orationem meam,
ad te omnis care veniet.
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine,
et lux perpetua luceat eis.Lux aeterna luceat eis, Domine,
cum sanctis tuis in aeternum,
quia pius es.
Requiem aeternum dona eis, Domine,
et Lux perpetua luceat eis,
cum Sanctus tuis in aeternum,
quia pius es.
