Roy was an amazing man, and had a deep impact on my life growing up. When I played piano at Stidham, he would say that it was one of the greatest gifts we could give, to offer music. He appreciated me and took an interest in my life. His passion for life...driving motorcycles and flying planes, inspired me as a child. Some of his thought-provoking sermons I still remember. Even recently, when his memory was fading, he remembered that I was ill and would always ask about how I was doing. Thank you Roy, you are as special as they come, and will always be missed.

It's difficult to express in words, the amount of love and admiration I have for such a wonderful Uncle. We have been truly blessed to be part of the family..
I also have no doubt that he will hear our Lord say: You have fought the good fight, You have finished the race, You have kept the faith! 2Tim 4:7

Blessings to ALL until we meet again !

I did so much appreciate being a ministerial colleague of Roy during our common life in the Northwest Indiana Conference. He was an accomplished preacher and a faithful brother. Our day and his life are not something that comes around too often.

We were of the greatest generation and the earthly Kingdom. As we used to sing at a colleagues memorial:

I will sing your a song of a faraway land
the faraway land of the soul.
