Grew up next door to Steve & Jim & Larry from the time I was two. A whole bunch of us played football in his front lawn and wiffle ball in the street. Steve was one of the kindest and gentlest guys. You all may remember he won the Tippecanoe County Athelete of the Year his Sr. Year. You probably also remember his one handed shot from the opposing free throw line to beat Jeff that year also. Dawn, Mary Ann and I are so sorry for your loss. Remember how Steve used to laugh and laugh at the times we played Boogie Man in the dark at his house!! Steve was such a WONDERFUL Big Brother figure to me and all the other Schilling Addition guys. Dave Woerner, Nashville

Steve added a deck to my home when I lived in Lafayette - my family always looked forward to seeing him - he was so nice - and the work he did was the best I'd ever seen. So sorry to hear this. He left such an impression on us.

I know Steve from him shopping at Menards. Such a nice guy and always had a smile and a kind word. The sixteen years I have been there he came in almost every day and sometimes several times a day. He was a regular and the regulars are like family. He will be missed. RIP Steve...

With memories of pegged jeans, matching velour tops, Impala Chevrolets and mixers held after some great basketball moves, thoughts go out to the guy who made WLHS such a special place in my life.

Steve was one of a kind.
He did work for my husband and I several times and it was always done right. Always had time to stop and say hello and ask how we were doing and oh his smile spoke volumes. He will be truly missed.

So sorry for Steve's passing. "Plumber" was a good friend of my brother, John Lehman, and one very accomplished baseball talent. A gentle soul and the last of the Ridgeway brothers from WLHS. Rest in peace ..Stevie.

Steve was one of my oldest friends, we go back to grade school. I was also able to see him grow & succeed in his remodeling business . Steve worked hard and had a very good reputation along with many repeat customers. Steve had a very strong faith which helped him on his journey. There was always a bright smile, a positive attitude and words of encouragement when ever I saw him. A very unselfish giving person and I will miss him, but know he is in a very good place. My thoughts and prayers are with Dawn and family.

Knew Steve thru WLHS. Had the opportunity to use his construction company, once with my parents & once for a friends house. Was so nice & did such a fantastic job. He was definitely "one of the good guys". He will be missed.
