Catherine Walker Obituary

Catherine Ann Carroll Walker, 75 years young, from Lakeland, Fla., went to be with Jesus on April 11, 2018, from complications due to cancer.
She was born in Bladen County, N.C. on October 28, 1942. She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty and John Negro.
"Ann" (Grandma to those in Florida and Aunt Ann to everyone in N.C.) was an Ordained Minister at Rivers of Faith Church in Fayetteville, NC. Her calling was counseling, deliverance and dream interpretation. She loved to share the unconditional love of Jesus. She has touched so many lives and will be terribly missed. Ann lived in Jacksonville, N.C. for many years prior to moving to Florida. She worked at Onslow Memorial Hospital in the Business Office from 1985-1996. She then moved to Lakeland, Fla. to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Walker Sloan and husband, Rich; a granddaughter, Olivia DeArment Pendarvis,and husband, Ryan; a grandson, Richy Sloan; her sister, Bonnie Ivey; and lifelong friend and former spouse, Frank Walker.
A funeral will be held at 1 pm Monday, April 16, 2018, in Rivers of Faith Church, 1541 South Eastern Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28306. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Park Cemetery, 4017 Gillespie St, Fayetteville, NC. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
