James Alcon Obituary
Memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Otway Christian Church.
Survivors include wife, Bonnie Southard Alcon of New Bern; son, James Mark Alcon of Graham; daughter, Lisa Alcon Leonard of New Bern; and sister, Brenda Perry of Burlington.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Arrangements by Noe Funeral Service, Beaufort.

Bonnie, So Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I admired and respected him so much. It seemed he was always helping my daddy at the barn. As I grew older, I came to realize that both you and Jim were rare friends to both my parents. We were all so lucky to have had you in our lives. Jim is no longer suffering, and I like to think that he and daddy are swapping stories about things they shared as friends here on earth as they wait for all of us to join them on the other side of Heaven's gates. Bonnie, I am so sorry to learn of Jimmy's passing. Although it's been many years since we had any contact I have pleasant memories we all shared in Scholl and beyond. You and your family are in my prayers.
