Karen Rooney Obituary
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Hammocks Beach State Park with the Rev. Joel Kettner officiating.
She worked for IBM for more than 30 years before her retirement.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Kemp Russell of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; daughter, Christy Ann Russell of Gilbert, Ariz.; parents, Thomas and Ethel Rooney of Staatsburg, N.Y.; sister, Katherine Rooney-Keto of Clintondale, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
Donations may be made to the North Carolina Coastal Federation, 131 Racine Drive, Suite 101, Wilmington, NC 28403.
