Kimberly Aragona Obituary

Kimberly Loretta Aragona passed away on August 17, 2014. She was born July 4, 1985, at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Maryland, to Patricia Ann Elizabeth and Kenneth William Plume and graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2003.
Daughter of a Marine Corps father, she started school in Quantico, Virginia, before family orders took her to Jacksonville, NC, where she attended Northwoods Elementary, Northwoods Middle School, and then graduated from Jacksonville High School.
From middle school onwards, she was a clarinetist for the school band, and she spent much of her high school years engaged in school sports, including pitching for her school's softball team and as a key member of the JHS golf team. It was for golf that she won a scholarship to Mount Olive College, which she began attending in Fall of 2003.
Kimberly loved the beach, Scooby-Doo, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But above all else, though, she was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother and a kind, caring friend who will be dearly missed by every life she touched. Her sons, her babies, Cameron and Jonny B., meant the world to her.
Kimberly is survived by her husband of 10 years, Carmen Anthony Aragona of Jacksonville, NC; her two sons, Cameron Anthony Aragona and Jonathan William Aragona; her father, Kenneth William Plume of Jacksonville, NC; and her brother, Kenneth William Plume II of Jacksonville, NC. She was preceded by her mother, Patricia; her grandmother, Dorothy Ilvento; her grandfather, Joseph Ilvento; and her grandfather, Leonard Rosenbaum.
A Viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 21st at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 22nd, also at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).

Nothing can replace the love of a mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife, a friend so abruptly taken. Her absence will touch all of us; it will change the world in which we live, for a wonderful human being was removed from the very possibility of making a difference for all those who knew her. There are no words that will take away the pain, but if we live long enough, it might become somewhat tolerable, somewhere deep inside. We loved you Kimberly, and didn't show it enough. Forgive us.
