Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Aydlett officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.
Linda was a member of the Jacksonville Literary Guild and was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon M. Mercer.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Stanley L. McCauley Sr. of the home; son, Stan McCauley and his wife, Tonya of Jacksonville; sister, Margaret Peters and her husband, Mike of Greenville; son-in-law, Bill Mercer of Jacksonville and six grandchildren, Madison, Trey, Brittany, Molly, John and Drew and her beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville is handling the services.
