Shirley Metts Obituary
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 19th at Jones Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. A private committal service will be held at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Shirley was born in Knoxville, Tennessee; to Jefferson and Zola DeBusk on September 26,1935. She attended school in Knoxville and married her high school sweetheart, Albert Edward Metts on March 13, 1954. She was a woman of God serving as the pianist at Lighthouse Baptist Church. She loved her family and loved to sew and cook.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Jefferson Elisha Debusk; mother, Zola Mae Harvey DeBusk; husband, Albert Edward Metts Sr.; sister, Geraldine DeBusk; and son, Albert Metts Jr.
She is survived by her daughters; Rhonda and Mack Germain, Deborah Ann and Chris Madvig, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
