Lisa K. (Simpson) Taylor, age 60, of Corsica, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born in Brookville on May 29, 1965, to the late Paul E. and Harriett R. (Gates) Simpson.
Lisa graduated from Clarion-Limestone High School in Strattanville with the Class of 1983.
Throughout her career, Lisa had worked at a variety of establishments around the area including Farmer's Inn Restaurant, Blue Top Restaurant, Short Stop Truck Stop, office cleaning services for Simpson Excavating and Mays Gas & Coal Company, and most recently held the position of office manager at the Ankle & Foot Associates in Brookville.
She participated as a social member with the Corsica Volunteer Fire Company, which was a tradition for her family members. She was also a social member with the American Legion in Strattanville.
Lisa married the love of her life, Jeff L. Taylor, on September 5, 1987, at the Corsica United Methodist. He survives. Their union of more than 38 years was marked by a true love and unwavering commitment to one another.
She enjoyed a variety of leisure activities such as dirt track racing, camping with her family, fishing, boating, mowing her lawn, planting flowers and any other outdoor pursuits.
Christmas was her absolute favorite holiday, and she loved going to Kraynak's.
She loved feeding her fish and caring for the other animals in her home.
Lisa enjoyed unwinding next to her outdoor fire pit or simply sitting and hanging out together with her family.
Family has always been at the forefront of Lisa's life, with her loving husband, daughters, grandson and son-in-law, who were the very heart of her existence. She loved spending time with family and friends more than anything else in this world.
Throughout her life, Lisa always provided love and support to her loved ones. This kind of enduring love will be long remembered by those who knew and adored her. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by her.
In addition to her husband Jeff, Lisa is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Silvis of Corsica and Karlee (Dan Kroh) Taylor of Corsica; one grandson, Jack Kroh of Shippenville; two siblings, Chuck (Penny) Simpson of Corsica and Bill (Cathy) Simpson of Strattanville; one sister-in-law, Tonya Swartzlander; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by siblings, Jim Simpson, Buckwheat Simpson and Sherri Simpson.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Carrier Funeral Home, located at 2834 Maplevale Road in Brookville, with Pastor Brad Lockwood officiating.
Interment was private.
