Donald W. Dole

MATTOON - Mass of Christian Burial for Donald W. Dole was Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Father Angel Sierra celebrating and Father Dean Probst concelebrating. Jim Bennett gave the eulogy and also served as lector. The altar servers were Liz Dole and Robert Record. The presentation of gifts was by grandchildren, Katie and Andy Dole, and daughter-in-law, Nancy Dole. Burial followed in the Calvary Cemetery. Malcom O'Neill read "For Those I Love" at the graveside. The Schilling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The organist, Herman Taylor, played and accompanied soloist, Julie Wilkerson, in singing "Here I Am Lord," "On Eagle's Wings," and "Song of Farewell." The pallbearers were Bill, Mike, Marty, Chris, Jeff and Katie Dole, Dwight Schilling and John Welsh. The honorary pallbearers were Art Zuhone, Duane Wetzel, Larry Price, Joe Daily and Preston Smith. Mr. Dole, 75, of rural Mattoon, died April 12, 2004, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
