Janice Carlyle Obituary

MATTOON - Janice L. (Peadro) Carlyle, 75, of Mattoon, passed away surrounded by her loved ones at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Smyser Christian Church, rural Gays. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Burial will be in Smyser Cemetery, rural Gays. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Janice was born on March 12, 1949, in Mattoon; the daughter of William Edward and Pearl L. (Hawkins) Peadro. She married Duane W. Carlyle on June 7, 2003, in Gays; he survives. She was a member of Smyser Christian Church and was a church organist for 54 years. She loved her flowers and her garden. Janice enjoyed and was very efficient with hospitality and decorating for many events.
She is survived by her husband, Duane of Mattoon; brothers, Gary (Dawn) Peadro and Dennis (Beverly) Peadro both of Windsor; sister, Lora (Pete) Tipton of Windsor. Janice is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
