MATTOON - JoWayne Catt, age 71, of Mattoon, passed away at 10:05 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center.
Funeral services honoring his life will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the First Southern Baptist Church, 3521 Dewitt Avenue, Mattoon, IL, 61938, with Dr. John Calio officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the church.
Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.
JoWayne was born on August 5, 1952, in Paris, IL, the son of Joseph and Lola (Martin) Catt. He married Sharon Roetker on September 15, 1972.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon Catt of Mattoon, IL; sons: Brian Catt of Charleston, IL, and Nathan (Chelsea) Catt, and their children: Eli and Lily of Bloomington, IL; mother, Lola Catt; and brother-in-law, Larry (Lori) Roetker of Denison, TX. JoWayne was preceded in death by his father.
