Paul Cutright Obituary

MATTOON - Paul E. Cutright, age 77, of Mattoon, died at 1:45 p.m. June 5, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services honoring his life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9 at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Massengill officiating. There will be a visitation starting at Noon and running until time of service. Burial with military rites will follow in the Janesville Cemetery. Mr. Cutright was born on January, 6, 1933 in Charleston, a son of Cleo and Rosa (Adams) Cutright. He married Peggy Joan Coble on April, 27, 1957. She survives along with their daughter Jody Northway and husband Scott, of Monticello, IL; his sons, Paul Cutright Jr. and special friend Dena Burtcheard, of Windsor, Mike Cutright of Cooks Mills, Randy Cutright and special friend Stephanie Tatum of Fisher, IL; his grandchildren Lelia Miller and husband Kenny, of Arthur, IL, Rebecca Tate and husband Andrew of Russellville, Arkansas, Stephanie Bright and husband Lucas, of Monticello, IL, Jason Cutright and wife Crystal, Nikki Leathers of Mattoon, Misty Benze-Bushling and husband Nick of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Melissa Shain and husband David of Cooks Mills, Mike Cutright Jr., of Charleston, Jessica Cutright of Charleston, Brandon Cutright of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and Blake Cutright of Charleston; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Bessie Waltrip and Pauline White, both of Mattoon, Pearl Cox of Haysville, Kansas, Peggy Daniell of Camargo, IL; and one brother, Jerry Cutright and wife Lorene of Charleston. Mr. Cutright was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, John and Russell Cutright. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church and the Eagles Club in Mattoon for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. We all will miss Grandpa Cutright. He was a great man, full of laughter. He's in a better place now and we will see that smile again some day.

My heart is broken not just for the loss of this great man but for each and everyone who loved him...I am so honored to have been able to be a part of his life. I will miss him so very much and will never for get his smile...love you dad RIP no more struggling for air...will see you again someday, thanks for the laughs we shared !!!
