Suzanne V. Davidson, age 79 of Mattoon, IL passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

A funeral service in her honor will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, November 21, 2025, at Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, 1200 Wabash Avenue, Mattoon, IL 61938. Reverend Ron Dickinson will officiate. A committal service will immediately follow at Jewett Cemetery in Jewett, IL. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the service at the funeral home.

Suzanne was born on November 16, 1946, in Mattoon, IL to the late L. Dee and Helen L. (Hallett) Vanderhoof. She married Robert Earl Davidson on May 14, 1983, in Mattoon, IL; he survives and resides in Mattoon, IL. She is also survived by one daughter, Melissa Scott and fiancé Eric Batty of Stonington, IL; a sister, Janalee Storm of Mattoon, IL; two grandchildren, Shawna Withrow and fiancé Geoffrey of Taylorville, IL, Amanda Scott and significant other Travis of Stonington, IL; four great-grandchildren: Dylan, Kynlee, Kylie, and Kaylin all of Taylorville, IL. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Perley Storm.

Prior to her retirement, Suzanne was an administrative assistant at Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL.

An avid reader, Suzanne cherished moments lost in a good book. She was creative and had a passion for quilting.

However, family was everything to Suzanne. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She treasured each moment spent with them, often showering them with gifts, shopping dates, and their favorite baked goods. Suzanne also shared a profound bond with her beloved dog, Ted E.
