Frances Meeks Obituary

Frances "Mae" Meeks, 89, of Pocahontas passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Pocahontas Healthcare and Rehab Center. She was born December 29, 1935 in Bristow Township of Randolph County to the late John Burley "Burl" and Frances Damouth Gullett. Mae was retired from Cinch and a member of WestRidge Church of Christ. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Burl and Frances Gullett; husbands, Charles Buddy Sims and Edward Eugene Meeks; and siblings, John Burley "Buck" Gullett, Marzelle Beatrice Stone, Dorsia Joyce Gullett, Martin Bob Gullett, Perry Gullett, Joe Gullett, and Norma Arlene Childress. Mae is survived by her son, Dennis Sims of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Wayne (Justi) Sims of Harrison and Samantha Sims of Springdale; great-grandchildren, Natalie Sims, Skielar Sims, and Caleb Phillippe; nieces and nephews, Gloria Westmorlan, Robbin Herron, Terry Childress, and Jerry Childress, Johnny Gullett, Carolyn Gullett, and Robert Gullett; brother in law, Rick Sims; sister in law, Margaret Morton; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, October 24, 2025 from 1-2 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM with Gerald Fears officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Jerry Childress, Terry Childress, Aaron LeBleu, Ronald Simpson, Howard Dunn, and John Washam.
