Frank Tyner Obituary

Frank Eugene Tyner, 66, of Pocahontas passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at his home. He was born February 3, 1959 in Forrest City to the late Robert Tyner and Bonita Garner. He worked as an electronics technician and was a veteran of the Navy. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; by his grandmother who raised him, Hettie Barber; and by his daughter, Leslie Johnson. Frank is survived by his wife, Valerie Yaunkee Scheel; son, Bryan (Melissa) Tyner; three grandsons, Christian Johnson, Cameron Johnson, and Gavyn Tyner; two granddaughters, Lacy Tyner and Paisley Tyner; and many other relatives and friends. Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 1-2 PM in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 2 PM. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Navy and VFW Post 4556 Honor Guard. Frank will be laid to rest at a later date at Hughes Cemetery near Forrest City.
