Geneva Toy Obituary

Geneva June Toy, 95, of Pocahontas, departed this life on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Lawrence Hall in Walnut Ridge. Geneva was born on January 11, 1930, to the late Carson O. Taylor and Jessie E. Campbell Taylor in Pocahontas. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chessie T. (Tib) Toy; her son, Roger Peters; her son-in-law, Wesley Tribble; three sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her children, Burna (Josef) Woodall and Brinda Tribble; grandchildren, Rodney (Ange) Brasfield, Deborah (Gene) Brumley, Allen Tribble and Chris (Danielle) Peters; great grandchildren, Katelyn (Kevin) Taber, Corey (Lindsey) Brasfield, Zacchary Brasfield, Tyler Tribble, Kristen Peters, Tyler M. Peters and Cody Peters; great-great grandchildren, Knox Taber, Kali Taber and Oliver Brasfield; brother, Darrel Taylor along with many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 9:30 – 10:00 am Tuesday, September 16, 2025, with the graveside services to be held at 10:00 am with Nelson Henderson officiating in the Masonic Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Rodney Brasfield, Corey Brasfield, Zacchary Brasfield, Chris Peters and Gene Brumley.
