Kay Parrish Obituary
Kay Lynn Fletcher Parrish, 68, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Kay Lynn was born on June 12, 1957, in Caraway, Arkansas, and was raised in Black Oak. She was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Fletcher; mother, Mary Bunch Fletcher; four brothers, William Bunch, Ray Bunch, Lowell (Sonny) Fletcher, and Ronnie Fletcher; and one sister, Billie Ceren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Mark Parrish of Monette, AR; daughter, Kasey Eakins (Daniel) of Lake City, AR; son, Kyle Rollins (Jamie) of Lake City, AR; and three beloved grandchildren, Callen Eakins, Owen Rollins, and Scarlett Rollins, all of Lake City. She is also survived by two sisters, Fay McLaughlin of Harrison, AR, and Carol Lybarger (Michael) of Hot Springs, AR, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who adored her.
A proud member of the Monette High School Class of 1975, Kay Lynn cherished reconnecting with her classmates at their 50th reunion this past spring. She was also a longtime member of Monette First Baptist Church.
Kay spent much of her career as an office manager for various organizations, beginning as a medical transcriptionist at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in the 1970s and ending her career at Colson Caster Corporation in Monette. She was known for her strong work ethic, warm personality, and the way she treated everyone like family.
Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and an ice-cold Coca-Cola. Kay Lynn was always known for her bright smile, quick wit, and a good story to share. If you stopped by for a visit, you'd best be ready to sit and stay awhile.
In her final act of kindness, Kay Lynn gave the gift of life through organ donation, continuing her legacy of generosity and love.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday November 5, 2025 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with services at 11:00 am with Eddie Dunigan, followed by a graveside service at Monette Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Daniel Eakins, Mike Parrish, Eddie Sumner, Antonio Garcia, and Braden Smithee. Honorary pallbearers are Callen Eakins, Owen Rollins, Cassidy Fletcher, Sean Lybarger, and Monette Class of 1975.
