Sheryl Young Obituary

Sheryl Lynne Dervan Young, born June 3, 1957, passed away on April 13, 2025, after lengthy illnesses. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Annieville, Arkansas. Sheryl started out as an EMT for Lawrence County in the late 1970s and then began her 40-year-long career at Bosch Tool Company (Skil Power Tools at the time) in April 1980 where she poured her heart and soul into her work while supporting her family. She made many meaningful lifelong friendships while employed at Bosch. She worked hard all her life until she couldn't. She was driven and had a fire and tenacity in her and a no-nonsense approach to life that many admire. She is survived by her three children, Thomas (Lisa) Young, Jessica (Jason) Marik, and Sommer Ferrell; seven grandchildren, Zane, Jaci, Halli, Gabriel, Henry, Sophia Love, and Fallon Skye; and five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Isaac, Theo, Ripley, and Jensen; cousins, Albert "Al" Narciso, Jr, Angela Perkins, Annette Narciso, and many other relatives in Boston, MA. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Tommy Paul Young; her father, Joseph Dervan; mother, Carolyn Lomanno; Uncle, Albert (Sonny) Narciso; and Aunt, Cheryl Zimmerman. A memorial service will be held at Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie Wednesday, April 16th from 4-6 p.m.
