Zachary Metz Obituary
Zachary Adam Metz, passed away on June 2, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 33. Born on March 24, 1992, in Paragould, Arkansas, Zachary, affectionately known as Zach by his friends and family, was a man whose zest for life was as boundless as the love he harbored for those around him.
Zach's early years were marked by a keen interest in mechanics and an insatiable curiosity about how things worked. This passion only grew as he did, blossoming into a lifelong love affair with all things automotive. His hands were often stained with grease, a testament to the hours he joyfully spent under the hoods of cars, making them run faster and perform better.
Racing was not just a pastime for Zach; it was a vital part of who he was. From the roar of engines on the racetrack to the more subdued purring of a finely tuned car, he reveled in the thrill of speed. His enthusiasm extended to riding 4 wheelers and side by sides, often leading the pack.
Beyond his mechanical interests, Zach was an avid outdoorsman. He cherished the quietude of nature, whether he was perched in a tree stand waiting for the perfect shot during hunting season or casting a line. Fishing was a solace for him, a time for reflection, and an activity he looked forward to sharing with his friends and family.
Above all else, Zach's greatest passion was his children. He approached fatherhood with the same fervor and commitment he applied to his hobbies. His kids were his pride and joy, his greatest achievement, and he dedicated himself to being a #1 Dad. He was their mentor, their protector, and their biggest cheerleader, and it was in his role as a father that Zach's generous, loving spirit shone brightest.
Zachary was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Ramona Metz; close friend, Greg Bland; and many aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his wife, Cristina Metz; children, Axle Metz and Harper Metz; mother of his children and best friend, Cortney Bland; step-children, Brison Patterson and Claire Patterson; brother, Terry Metz; sisters, Jessica Metz and Kim Metz; and many aunts, uncles, and friends.
