JONESBORO - Alice Evelyn Lunsford Guy, 86 years of age, passed away on May 12, 2025, at St. Elizabeth's Nursing Home in Jonesboro. She was born in Trumann, to the late George and Etha Canter Lunsford on July 30, 1938.
Alice was a 1957 graduate of Nettleton High School. She lived most of her life in Jonesboro where she was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from General Electric. She had many friends that she cared deeply for and enjoyed staying in touch with by attending their retirement lunches at local restaurants. After retirement, she was a caregiver to many in the community and enjoyed being able to provide care to those families and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, George and Etha Lunsford; four sisters, Hazel Scarbrough, Jeanie Richardson, Georgia Carter and Jessica Pinchback; and two brothers, Randall Lunsford and Terry Lunsford.
She was survived by her sons, Stanley (Laura) McFarlin of Jonesboro, Steve (Alison) McFarlin of Caraway; her grandchildren Blake (Alisha) McFarlin, Brock (Brook) McFarlin, Brooke McFarlin, Steven (Josh) McFarlin, Shane (Conner) McFarlin, Timothy Tyler and Seth Tyler; her sister, Betty Minton of Little Rock; her brothers, Richard (Inez) Lunsford of Trinity, Ala., and Ralph (Trena) Lunsford of Little Rock; her brother-in-law, Ellis Pinchback of Jonesboro, and sister-in-law, Linda Jo Lunsford of Naylor, Mo. She had six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Nettleton Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
Alice's grandsons, Blake McFarlin, Brock McFarlin, Steven McFarlin, Shane McFarlin, Timothy Tyler, and Seth Tyler, will serve as pallbearers. Alice's granddaughter, Brooke McFarlin will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
