JONESBORO - Andrew James Ludwig, Age 53, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born on August 14, 1971, in Charleston, Ill., to David Ludwig and Caroline Wadlington.
Andrew was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served honorably during Desert Storm. He carried the discipline and dedication from his military service into his professional life, where he worked as a retail manager for over 20 years.
Beyond his career, Andrew was a passionate and creative spirit. He loved writing short stories and poems, pouring his heart and imagination onto the page. He was also an avid collector of comic books, finding joy in the stories and artwork that sparked his own creativity. A devoted fan of the San Antonio Spurs, he never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team.
Andrew was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He is preceded in death by his father, David Ludwig, and his mother, Caroline Johnson Wadlington.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jennifer Bull Ludwig; his sons, Julian Ludwig, Isaak Ludwig, and Dio Ludwig (Gray); his daughters, Ione Ludwig and Hazel Ludwig; his brother, Jeff Ludwig; his sisters, Veronica Garcia and Vanessa Prado; his stepmother, Joann Ludwig; and his cherished cat, Ninja.
Andrew's warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the stories he wrote, the family he loved, and the memories shared with those who held him dear.
