JONESBORO - Anita J. Nicholson Cullins, 78, went home to be with the Lord, Dec. 4, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Dr. James Cullins; daughters, Jane Tacker (Trav), Adrienne Cullins Bolton (Adrian); grandsons, Zeke Tacker and Ezra Tackers; her caregivers, Cammie Buckner and Lacey Brown, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro, volunteering in the children's department, attending Sunday School, and Life Group activities.
Anita's life was exemplary, with a kind, lovely spirit filled with laughter and a stubborn iron will and faith to accomplish any goal God set before her. This served her well, miraculously overcoming with the Lord's strength enormous physical and emotional challenges in her life.
She graduated from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia with an Associate's, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees in Education. Anita was a kindergarten teacher extraordinaire and helped establish the kindergarten program at Ridgefield Christian School in Jonesboro from the school's inception.
We may all take comfort and solace in implementing Anita's lesson of faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served so well and does yet for eternity.
2 Timothy 1:12 Apostle Paul writes, "I know whom I believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that day."
