Barbara Wortham Obituary
BROOKLAND - Barbara Dean Wortham, 78, of Brookland, passed away on Dec. 28, 2025, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was born on Nov. 30, 1947 in Bono, to Carl and Maude (Dunham) Edwards. Barbara was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of Woods Chapel Baptist Church in Brookland. She never met a stranger and enjoyed sewing, canning foods, thrift shopping, and spending time with family.
Survivors include one son, Tony King of Jonesboro; one daughter, Tracy Upton (Bobby) of Trumann; one adopted daughter, Marilyn Thomas of Jonesboro; one brother, Freddy Edwards (Sharon) of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, Lucas King of Jonesboro, Anthony Timms (April) of Lake City, Chris Timms of Bay; and a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wortham; parents, Carl and Maude (Dunham) Edwards; and sister, Kathy Edwards.
Those to serve as pallbearers will be Lucas King, Bobby Upton, Anthony Timms, and Chris Timms.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
