Corine Shrable

MANILA - Corine Hamilton Shrable, age 87, of Manila, passed from this life Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Swifton, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Sallie Slayton Gray, was a graduate of Manila High School, and had lived most of her life in the Manila area. She was the former owner/operator of the Circle Inn Restaurant and later Hamilton's Restaurant before working several years for Manila Public Schools. Corine also took great satisfaction working as a babysitter and caring for others. She was a woman of great faith and was a longtime member of the Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Manila.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Franklin Hamilton; her second husband, Jackie Shrable; three sons, Danny Hamilton, Robert Hamilton, and Gary Hamilton; three brothers and a sister.

Survivors include three grandsons, Michael Hamilton (Chrystal) of Trumann, Jeff Hamilton (Miranda) of Manila, Frank Hamilton (Jonna) of Manila; one granddaughter, Danielle Hamilton (Terry Nicholson) of McEwen, Tenn. She also leaves five loving great-grandchildren and one sister, Joann Bowman of St. Joseph, Mich.

Funeral service will be today, at 2 p.m., at the Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Manila with Reverend Troy Burrow officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. The family will receive visitors today from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
