MONETTE - J.C. "Jay" Daniel, 76, of Monette, passed away at his home Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024. He was born March 12, 1948, in Walnut Ridge, to Edwin and Lora Tadlock Daniel.
Jay was a member of Bethabara Baptist Church in Lake City. He was United States Army veteran which was his greatest accomplishment. He enjoyed fishing, watching Dallas Cowboys football, and spending time with his family. Jay loved his dogs, Dash and Chloe.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Daniel of the home; one brother, Kenneth Daniel of Trumann; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Donald Daniel, A.C. Daniel, J.D. Daniel and Lyndall Daniel.
Funeral services will be held at noon today, Nov. 27, at Bethabara Baptist Church in Lake City with Brother Roger Duffel officiating. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will follow in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Cherry Valley under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
