MARMADUKE - Jerry Eugene Kirby, 75, of Marmaduke, passed away on July 22, 2025, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born on Feb. 21, 1950, in Marked Tree to Alvie King Kirby and Janie Palmer Kirby.
Jerry loved tinkering with lawnmowers and building. He was a talented carpenter and craftsman. More than anything, Jerry loved his family, especially his grandkids, and cherished time spent with them.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Kirby; children, Allen Kirby (Kellie), David Kirby (Katrina), Billy Kirby, Patty Gail Kirby, and Charlotte Sullins (Terry); grandchildren, Matthew Kirby, Issac Kirby, Cory Kirby, Shawn Kirby, Kayla Kirby, Jessica Pierce, and Kim Demelo; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary, Dean, Junior, Larry, and Bobby Kirby; and sisters, Katie Sandy, Mamie Wood, and Lilly Jones.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his children, Sheila Stantin and Duane Fields; and his siblings, James Kirby, Linda Kirby, Wilma Truelove, and Wanda Smith.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Burial will be private.
