Jim Goad Obituary

JONESBORO - Jim Goad, 70, of Jonesboro passed from this life Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at his residence.

He was born April 30, 1951, in St. Louis to the late James and Gustavah Goad, and was raised in Strawberry.

Jim retired from Hytrol after 39 years of service. He thoroughly enjoyed playing pool and his guitar, and most of all he loved spending time with his family.

He was of the Baptist belief.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Shelby Thompson.

Survivors include his two sons, Keith (Tracy) Goad and Eric (Amy) Goad; one daughter, Melody Kelley; four brothers, Larry (Tina) Thompson, Danny (Pam) Goad, Wayne (Delores) Goad and Dean (Tonya) Goad; one sister, Debbie Simpson; three grandchildren, Lily Kelley, Alexis (Alex) Smith and Payton (Levi) Robertson; and four great-grandchildren, Baylor Smith, Ainsley Smith, Charlotte Smith and Walker Robertson.

There will be a visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at Emerson Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 10:30 a.m. in Pine Log Cemetery.
