SHERMAN, Texas - Dr. Kimberly Gail Holt, 62, of Sherman, Texas, passed away on Sept. 23, 2025. Born Nov. 7 in Paragould, to Reverend Thurman and Brenda Holt, she was saved at age seven and baptized at Antioch Baptist Church.
Dr. Holt earned a DDS from the University of Tennessee, a BS in Zoology from Arkansas State University, and completed her Endodontics specialty at the University of Louisville. She practiced general dentistry in Memphis before founding Plano Endodontics in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, H.W. and Florence Holt, Reverend Jack and Geneva Bearden; her father, Reverend Thurman Holt; her niece, Brittany Holt; and her great-niece, Belle Lawhon. Survivors include her sons, Kyle (Stephanie) and Ryan Barnette; her mother, Brenda Holt; brothers Barry (Toni), Byron (Christy), and Kevin; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephew.
Kim will be remembered for her faith, love of family, beautiful voice, and independent spirit. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. at Prospect Missionary Baptist Church.
