Nancy Modesitt Obituary
MANILA - Nancy Louise Modesitt, age 78, of Manila, passed from this life Friday, May 16, 2025, at her home. Daughter of the late R.C. and Louise Moore Parsley, she was born in Manila and had attended Manila Public Schools.
Nancy lived most of her life in Manila and was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith and loved crafting, going to yard sales, and tending to the family graves. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dean Modesitt, and a son, Terry Modesitt.
Survivors include one son, Gary Modesitt of Manila; one daughter, Sherry Scoggins (Paul) of Manila; one brother, John Parsley (Mary) of Manila; one sister, Betty Byrd of Manila; four grandchildren, Ryan Scoggins (Julie), Cortnee Williams (Preston), Tiffany Modesitt, and Paul Keith Rabey (Holly); a special nephew, Tim Edwards of Manila; one aunt, Faye Russell Walker of Manila; a bonus daughter, Joni Isebell and family. Nancy also leaves 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family has requested private services with burial to follow in the Manila Cemetery.
