TRUMANN - Norma Faye Evans, 84, of Trumann, departed this life on Monday, Oct. 20, at St. Bernards Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born in rural Poinsett County and had lived in Trumann for the past 22 years, moving back from Fort Smith. She was a retired inspector from Riverside Furniture in Fort Smith, a 1960 graduate of Bay High School, loved shopping, garage selling, flea marketing, spending time with Amanda, and attending church, where she was a member of the First General Baptist. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Billy Gene Evans; two sisters, Jewell Watson and Barbara Cothern; one brother, John Davis; and her parents, William "Bill" and Clara "Kimberland" Davis.
Norma is survived by one daughter, Amanda (Ricky) Atkins of Trumann; two grandchildren, Brittany Camille and Tyler Jade (Josh) McGinnis; and six great-grandchildren, Maddi (Colby) Catt, Maverick Atkins, Evan Muse, Xander, and Emily McGinnis.
Visitation will be Saturday, from 12 until 1 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. A celebration of life will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with Reverend Darrel Miller and Reverend Jamey Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park in Jonesboro.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Davis, John Paul Davis, Garren Davis, Jeff Carter, Dennis Carter, and Dustin Rhoads.
Lasting memorial can be made to the First General Baptist Church, 15765 Promised Land Lane North, Trumann, Ark., 72472.

My sincere condolences to Norma´s family in the passing of their mother and grandmother. Norma and I were friends at Bay High School where were in the same graduating class of 1960. May God be with the family as they say their earthly goodbyes this weekend.
