WALNUT RIDGE - On March 5th, 2024, Patsy Robert Hicks, 89, received her eternal wings. Ms. Pat worked as an accountant at Walmart for over eight years. Robert and Pat established, ran and developed lifelong friendships with the clients of Hoxie Flying Service for over 30 years. Robert and Pat married on Jan. 22, 1952.
Ms. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Hicks, her daughter, Robin Hicks Blakeney, her grandson, Robert Byron Blakeney, grandson-in-law, Carl Joseph Wolf, parents, Frank Joseph Robert and Grace Smith Robert, and brother, Joseph Frank Robert.
Surviving, Ms. Pat is her son, Joe (Melanie) Hicks; her daughter, Donna Hicks (Mike) Pinkston; grandchildren, Josh (Kim) Blakeney, Alison Blakeney, Steve (Jill) Pinkston, Stephanie Pinkston (Jeffrey) Greer, Audrey Jane Hicks (Luke) Wall, Gracie Hicks (Colton) Lenderman and Mya Pinkston; great-grandchildren, Faith and Jazmine Blakeney, Kady, Nadia and Piper Greer, Ary Crouch, Eli, Izzy and Abby Pinkston, and Janey Ann Lenderman; sister, Ernestine (Tommie) Smith; two sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Hicks Hager and Mona Foster Hicks; nieces, Sherry Smith Moore and Diane Robert Mouser; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday in the Hoxie Church of Christ. Funeral services will start at 2 p.m. with Bill Wheeler officiating. A private burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you consider a donation to the Robert and Pat Hicks College Scholarship under the direction of Marsha Jones at the Hoxie School superintendent's office.
The Hicks family would also like to give thanks to the Villa in Jonesboro, Legacy Hospice and Lawrence Hall Senior Living in Walnut Ridge for all her outstanding care.
