Pauline Penter Obituary

FLORANCE - Pauline Marie Penter, 93, of Florance, Ala., formally of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025, at the El Reposo Nursing Facility. She was born on March 11, 1932, in Bald Knob to Charles and Della Smith. Pauline worked for Frolic Footwear for 41 years before retirement. She was a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ, and her favorite pastime was taking care of her family. Preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Hubert Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Rick (Sharol) Penter; daughter, Debby Hester; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Tony Smith and sister, Charlene Perez.

A graveside service will be Sunday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery, with Austin Penter officiating.

Pallbearers will be Austin Penter, Camron Penter, Colton Penter, Caleb Danley, Caden Danley, Cohen Danley, Matt Browning, Noah Brown, Alex Brown and Bart Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials would be made in their mother's name to Nettleton Church of Christ, 3521 E. Highland Drive, Jonesboro, Ark., 72401.

Arrangements are under the care of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
