TRUMANN - Raymond Guffey, 62, of Trumann, departed this life Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at the family residence. He was born Oct. 4, 1962, in Trumann and lived most of his life in the Trumann area. He attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a graduate of the Trumann High School class of 1982. He loved to work and was employed by the City of Trumann Public Works Department. He loved to collect arrowheads, marbles and buttons. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Edward Guffey and his wife, Lisa Guffey.
He is survived by a daughter, Sheridan Illene Guffey of Trumann; his mother, Marie Owens of Trumann; two sisters, Conney Guffey and Donna Waggoner, both of Trumann; a brother, Donnie Joe Guffey of Trumann and four grandchildren, Alysa Pippins, Alena Williams, Ryder Williams and Justin Williams.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 22, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow in the chapel with the Reverend Ricky Dobbins officiating. Committal service will be Monday, June 23, at 10 a.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro.
Pallbearers are Archie Cooper, Chuck Grant, Roger McHalffey, T.J. Ealey, Jody Burrow and Jeff Marshell. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of the Trumann Public Works Department.
