JONESBORO - Sandra Kaye Wixson Kellems, 77, departed this life on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on Feb. 11, 1948, to Roy and Anna Wixson of Fisher.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Randal Kellems; daughter, Kristina Joy Hull and her husband Joshua; along with many special cousins, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joy Lenita Wixson and brother, Carl Edwin Wixson.
After graduating from Weiner High School, Class of 1966, she attended ASU and Cosmetology School. She worked as a hair stylist until the birth of her daughter. She was also an executive partner of Triple W Farms.
Sandra played piano from a young age and started as a church pianist at the age of 13. Her family attended Fisher United Methodist Church. After moving to Jonesboro, she joined St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was the pianist and music coordinator for forty-five years. In her lifetime, she was a member of the Treble Clef Club, in Pistols and Petticoats Square Dance Club, and in St. Bernards Senior Life Center Choir.
Sandra enjoyed traveling, boating, holidays, music, concerts, church, friends and her family. She was a faithful, funny, quick-witted person, beloved wife and mother, who will be truly missed. We rest easy knowing she is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Visitation is at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2201 S. Culberhouse in Jonesboro, on Saturday April 12, at 10 a.m. Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jim West and Brother Charlie Sigman officiating. There will be a meal for the family following service. Graveside service will be in Fisher.
Arrangements are under the care of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
