Sherry Whitman Obituary
TRUMANN - Sherry Whitman, 78, of Trumann, departed this life Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Willowbend Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Marion. She was born Feb. 11, 1947, in Jonesboro, to the late Carl and Mildred Nichols Forbis. She attended Eastside Baptist church in Trumann and lived most of her lifetime in the Trumann area. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carla Loveless.
She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Leperd and fiance Mike Downing both of Marion; her son, Rodney (Jennifer) Whitman of Orange City, Iowa; sister, Janiel (Gerald) Martin of Marion; three grandchildren, Hunter (Kaitlyn) Leperd, Cale (Holly) Leperd, Gunner Whitman, and two great-grandchildren, Emerie Leperd and Cache Leperd.
The family received friends on Thursday, July 10, at Thompson Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be today, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home with the Reverend Kenny Guy McMahan officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
