JONESBORO - Timothy Lynn Spence, age 63, died March 12, 2025 in Blytheville. He was born in Jonesboro at St. Bernard's Hospital on January 23, 1962.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Birdsell; his father, John Spence; and his grandparents, Frank and Eunice Spence, and Dallas and Gwendolyn Gibson.
Tim is survived by three daughters; Katrina Haustein (Mark), Candice Moore (Zane), Tia Al-Shangiti (Nawaf Abdulrahim), and one son, Tim Spence, Jr. He has three granddaughters; Kinley Haustein, Ruby Moore, and Lilyan Abdulrahim. He has two grandsons; Cole Haustein and Khalid Abdulrahim.
Tim is also survived by his step-father, Bill Birdsell; one brother, Dallas Spence; and three sisters; Regina Spence, Ginger Davis, and Kim Birdsell.
Tim was a proud uncle to his nieces and nephews; Crystal Balentine, Justin Roundtree, Tim "T.J." Tippitt, Valerie Spence, Heather Goodman, Paige West, Jordan Foster, and Aa'sin Spence.
After graduating from Nettleton Schools, Tim enlisted in the Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Jonesboro. He was an entrepreneur and most recently owned Able Air Compressor Company in Jonesboro.
Tim had a lifelong passion for anything with an engine, racing cars and go-karts, and collecting motorcycles. As a member of Iron Riders for Christ, he forged friendships across the biker community and cherished annual motorcycle trips with his son.
Above all, Tim loved being "Papaw." He adored his grandkids and rarely missed a recital, game, or concert. Tim was passionate about sharing his faith. An ordained minister, he led jail ministries, distributed Bibles, and devoted much of his time to John 3:16 Ministries.
Though Tim seemed invincible, he was at peace with what lay ahead, knowing he would one day hear, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." As we carry on without him, may we remember his favorite phrase, "It's all about Jesus."
Funeral arrangements for Tim are as follows: Visitation Friday, March 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home. Funeral Service Saturday, March 22, at 10 a.m. also at Emerson with graveside to follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please consider giving a donation to Tim's favorite ministry, John 3:16.
