Willie Miller Obituary

MARKED TREE - Willie Garland Miller departed this life peacefully after a short illness, on Dec. 7, 2023, at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. He was born Jan. 17, 1942, in Marked Tree and was the son of Alfred Robert Miller and Mary Evelyn Phillips Miller.

Knowing he is out of pain and up in heaven seeing all the loved ones that have gone before us helps bring some comfort to us. Now that he can roam free, as he won't be tied down anymore, brings a smile.

He was an extremely talented inventor, entrepreneur and a loving person pulling us all in with his love of life. He taught us how to fish, hunt, cook and even make his famous lures. He will be extremely missed and never forgotten.

Spread those wings and scope out those good hunting and fishing spots until we get there to join you. We love you. Rest in peace.

He is survived by his daughter, Mechelle I. Pizana (Steven), of Clovis, Calif.; one son, Eric Miller of Fresno, Calif.; a granddaughter, Brianna M. Pizana/Mentele (Michael) of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Al Miller of Forrest City and Earnest Miller of Marietta, Ga.; four nephews; five nieces; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Mr. Miller's wishes were to be cremated. Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
